The primary purpose of this position is the purpose of this position is to maintain and track data collected by installation law enforcement and security programs in support of the Reports and Analysis section.
Duties
Maintains and tracks Security Forces incident reports, tickets, barments, driving records, revocations, and suspense using the Security Forces Management Information System (SFMIS).
Maintains controlled items. Maintains control logs, files, accountability for tickets, and accident/incident reports that may be classified. Conducts quarterly audits to ensure all reports/tickets are accounted for in the file.
Provides administrative support to ensure efficient office operations. Receives and answers routine telephone inquiries or refers to appropriate staff. Receives and refers visitors.

- This position is designated as a key position IAW AFI 36-507. Duties of this position are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations
- Incumbents of key positions must be removed from their military recall status if alternative for filling of the position during an emergency are not available
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, or the GS-0086, Security Clerical and Assistance Series.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-04, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes security principles, regulatory provisions, rules, regulations, directives, DoD suitability criteria, procedures and operations to perform such duties as managing the base Visitor Control Center to support controlling, issuing and accounting for restricted area badges and process a wide variety of standard ID cards, contractor access badges or other forms of base access authorization; general clerical office procedures.

EDUCATION: I have successfully completed four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. NOTE: You must submit a copy of transcripts.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: I have a combination of experience as described in the job opportunity announcement and education. Therefore, I have a combination of experience and education. NOTE: You must submit a copy of transcripts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of basic security processes and procedures.
2. Knowledge of one or more automated databases associated with a specific security function to support office and security operations and produce a variety of documents and reports.
3. Knowledge of general clerical and office functions and procedures, as well as the basic rules of grammar, spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and standard abbreviations.
4. Ability to plan and organize work, follow instructions, and accomplish multiple ongoing projects.
5. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
