You will serve as a AIRCRAFT ELECTRICIAN LEADER in the TACAIR Program of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will perform leader level electrical repair/modification duties. You will disassemble aircrafts, examine electrical components, determine extent of repair and replacement, and install aircraft service changes. You will install and connect electrical components such as black boxes, avionics gear, motors, generator, converters, relays, switches, circuit breakers, and relay panels. You will remove, install, and service radar units. You will provide leadership to shop personnel and assist in the training and development as it pertains to the typical performed duties of the job.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
