These positions are located in Manzanar National Historic Site, in the Cultural Resources Division.
These are term positions (more than 1 year) with an initial appointment expecting to last at least 13 months but may be extended up to a total of four years. Term positions do not convey permanent status in the Federal service.

Duties
This announcement contains 1 WG-4 position, and 1 WG-5 position. These are NOT career-ladder positions.
Operates heavy power equipment such as lawn mowers, chain saws, brush cutters, brush chippers, portable snow blowers, and all types of hand and light power tools (such as shovels, pulaskis, picks, digging bars, rakes, lawn edging equipment, electric drills), to maintain historic
Performs duties to maintain historic buildings and cultural landscape as required.
Digs ditches and trenches with pick and shovel where soil is hard and compact and must grade or slope.
Operates vehicles over park property in all weather conditions and performs minor operator maintenance on light duty motor vehicles. (WG-5 level operates on federal, state, county and public roads/city streets)
Cuts trees and heavy vegetation with axe, chainsaw or powered brush cutters, stacks heavy logs, lumber and sacks of cement.
