You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST (INSTRUCTOR) in the NAVAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING CENTER of CENTER FOR SERVICE SUPPORT.
Duties
You will provide guidance in the security disciplines (Information, Personnel, Physical, and Industrial) within the Security Enterprise, to include classification management, policy development, policy integration, program planning, and training.
You will serves as a Security Specialist (INSTRUCTOR) and be responsible for training DON personnel who attend the Naval Security Manager Course (NSMC)and utilize technical knowledge of the four core security disciplines.
You will deliver face-to-face classroom, mobile training team, and virtual delivery to DON security personnel and assist in the development and application of a Lesson Plans, Guides, Tests and Assessments.
You will serve as a source of security program knowledge for DON organizations and for interpreting organizational level policy, assisting in the development of local policy and for resolving issues involving conflicting security requirements.

- This position must complete a DOD approved Instructor certification at the beginning levels within 24 months of initiation of Instructor Certification Program.
- This position has been designated as a Security Professional Educational Development, designated position; DOD SPeD certification of Security Fundamentals Professional Certification is required within 24 months of assuming the position.
- This position must complete a DOD approved Instructor certification at the beginning levels within 24 months of initiation of Instructor Certification Program.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying DOD policies, laws and regulations to review, analyze and resolve difficult and complex security problems associated with physical, industrial, personnel, and/or information security programs; 2) Utilizing broad technical knowledge in at least two of the four core security disciplines (Information, Personnel, Physical, and Industrial) to educate/advise personnel on DoD security requirements; 3) Participating in inter-agency or inter-organization committees and working groups to identify and resolve, or to assign responsibilities for resolving security issues; and 4) Developing and presenting security briefings or presentations to officials, managers, security peers, and subordinates.
