You will serve as a Planner & Estimator (Pipefitter) in the Research and Development Services Divsion, Engineering Section (Code 3531) of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY.
Duties
You will plan work for industrial trades such as duct work, air conditioning, piping and small tubing work and prepares job orders and cost estimates for maintenance, constructions, and alterations to buildings.
You will prepare specific breakdowns detailing estimates of items.
You will estimate labor and material cost from service calls, work requests, engineering plans, and similar information estimates costs and prepare job order specification.
You will prepare statement of works, specifications, cost estimates and develop drawing plans for in-house work or supply contracts which include direction and inspection of work performed by contractors.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
