As an Administrative Specialist in NASA's Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity, you will oversee critical mission contracts, streamline administrative processes, and lead strategic initiatives in support of the enterprise business and HR operations. You will be part of a small and agile team that performs day-to-day operations in service of the enterprise workforce during an on-going organizational transformation.

Duties

Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee. Monitor contractor performance to ensure deliverables meet required standards, contributing to enhanced service offerings and core functions of the office. Administer critical mission contracts, ensuring alignment and integration with NASA’s strategic initiatives, the enterprise’s ongoing transformation, program objectives, service offerings and core-functions. Employ knowledge of agency and federal government financial operations to co-manage budgets and resources effectively, aligning core functions and performance goals with fluctuating budget allocations to maximize financial resources. Organize work priorities for alignment with enterprise projects and initiatives, determining resource requirements and strategic objectives. Evaluate processes/outcomes for improvement and impact on the enterprise for future strategic alignment. Streamline business and administrative processes/workflows, including transformation efforts, workforce planning, strategic planning, employee recognition, organizational performance and reporting, resource allocation and HR operations. Research, interpret, and apply government-wide laws, NASA policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance applicable to daily operations and special projects. Manage key enterprise projects and strategic initiatives, coordinating with stakeholders to align with NASA's strategic goals, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery in support of organizational transformation. Design new methods and approaches where established procedures are inapplicable, ensuring enterprise adaptability and responsiveness to changing organizational needs. Foster a culture of engagement, diversity, inclusiveness, excellence and innovation. Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level: Supporting projects through planning, execution, and tracking to achieve timely alignment with enterprise goals; Monitoring contractor performance to ensure compliance with organizational standards and objectives; Researching laws and policies to optimize business processes and improve operational efficiency. To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level: Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure timely, budget-compliant delivery of key projects and initiatives; Evaluating or overseeing contractor performance to verify that deliverables meet organizational standards and support service enhancements and core functions; Interpreting and applying relevant laws and policies to ensure organizational processes are consistent with federal regulations and contribute to mission success.
