This position is part of the EERE: Golden Field Office, Financial Assistance Office. As a Program Communications Specialist, you will be serving as a Supervisory Division Director. Your role will be responsible for activities related to the award and administration of assigned financial assistance instruments (grants, cooperative agreements) and financial assistance policy development and implementation.
This position is Remote Restricted to Golden, Colorado.

- First time supervisors will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period.
- This position has been designated as PUBLIC TRUST. A preliminary background check must be completed before a new employee can begin work. Current Federal employees or others with an existing investigation may not be required to undergo another check.
- This position requires a certification in Financial Assistance. Selectee is required to obtain/maintain certification under DOE O 361.1C Financial Assistance Career Development Program.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:
Administering financial assistance agreements during the pre-award, post-award, closeout, and auditing stages, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
Providing technical and administrative support, leadership, and guidance to team members on financial assistance actions.
Monitoring and reporting on the status of work assigned to the division, checking on work in-progress, reviewing completed work, and ensuring deadlines have been met.
