This position is part of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy - Golden Field Office, Department of Energy. As a Supervisory Grants Management Specialist, you will serve as the supervisory division director for the Financial Assistance Office.
This position is Remote Restricted to Golden, Colorado.

- Position is approved to work remotely full-time, but must be located within the locality pay area of the DOE Worksite and must be a realistic commuting distance of the Golden, CO.
- Under this arrangement, the employee is not required to report to the DOE Worksite every pay period but may be required to do so with some regularity (e.g., a few times a quarter) for work that cannot be performed remotely.
- If selected, you will be required to sign a remote work agreement after entry into the position that details remote working conditions and expectations for the position.
- You are required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report within 30 days of entering the position and annually (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08).
- First time supervisors will be required to serve a 1 year probationary period.
- This position has been designated as requiring a PUBLIC TRUST background. Current Federal employees or other individuals with an existing completed background investigation may not be required to undergo another background check.
- Position is required to obtain/maintain certification under the DOE O 361.1C Financial Assistance Career Development Program.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:
Managing grants and cooperative agreements in compliance with Federal regulations, policies and procedures.
Providing technical administrative support, leadership, and guidance to staff and program on financial assistance actions and Technology Investment Agreements (TIAs).
Monitoring and reporting on the status of work assigned to the division, checking on work in progress, and reviewing completed work, ensuring deadlines have been met.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

CTAP/ICTAP candidates: To be considered "well qualified" you must (1) meet all of the requirements as described in this section; and 2) be rated "well-qualified", which is defined as having a score of 85 or better.
