About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. ARMY INTELLIGENCE & SECURITY COMMAND, U.S. ARMY OPERATIONS GROUP, FORT MEADE, MD.
Duties
Performs Intelligence operations mission support within the Army Operations Group (AOG) Directorate of Operations and Identity and Data Management Office and provides operational security guidance per Intelligence policies and procedures.
Serves as an Intelligence Operations Specialist within AOG with responsibility for individual and organizational Identity Data Management (IDM) security for Human Intelligence operations and projects.
Responsible for analyzing Intelligence and non-Intelligence-related data and providing input to and maintenance of data within an Intelligence operational risk database.
Conduct extensive research and routinely consults with Counterintelligence offices to understand and analyze operational risk.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a TS (or equivalent) investigation.
- All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
- Requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience with Identity Data Management (IDM) tools, mechanisms, and procedures directly related to Human Intelligence (HUMINT)/Counterintelligence (CI) operations to ensure operational security.
Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
