Duties

Procure special, hard to find, or technical items. Verify accuracy of data in automated systems, such as nomenclature, status, cost, or stock number. Research vendors in order to obtain relevant quotes. Verify transactions prior to payment authorization. Maintain supply life cycle in accordance with regulatory procedures and documentation. Evaluate medical activities to provide reliable estimates of inventory needs for requisitioning. Analyze inventory in order to project supply needs and/or advise on stock requirements. Conduct periodic inventory of items in order to identify discrepancies or shortages.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
  • Travel Required: Up to 5% Business Travel required.
  • Required to possess and maintain a valid stateside driver's license.
  • Position is designated as Mission Essential. The incumbent will be required to report to work during times of contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather or other emergency situations.

OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Management, Accounting, Finance, or other related program of study. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Inventory ManagementManages and Organizes InformationSourcingSupply Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
