This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for establishing, developing and sustaining alumni engagement activities for an institution; building a diverse network of internal and external stakeholders; using oral and written communication to provide information to stakeholders, and using internal and external networks to determine the effectiveness of a program.
Duties
As a Program Coordinator (International Alumni Programs) at the GS-0301-12 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serve as a Program Coordinator (International Military Alumni Programs) in the planning, coordination, implementation, and management of activities and requirements in support of the establishment, development, and sustainment of ISG alumni engagement activities.
Plan and oversee a Foundations of Fellowship Program that serves as a complimentary role to the academic program offered by ISG.
Evaluate and monitor effectiveness of program, identify problems, and recommend improvements and changes.
Initiate and maintain contact with ISG alumni and alumni organizations, for the purpose of developing and expanding networks.
Promote and foster alumni relations through written communication and personal contact with alumni.
Develop written materials designed to convey information concerning the institution's alumni programs and functions to external audiences and the public.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service:
Establishing, developing and sustaining alumni engagement activities for an institution;
Building a diverse network of internal and external stakeholders;
Using oral and written communication to provide information to stakeholders;
Using internal and external networks to determine the effectiveness of a program.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
