Duties

Performs duties per NSS/PKI Registration Practice Statement (RPS) and DOD/PKI Certification Practice Statement (CPS). Approve issuance of certificates to network Non-Person Entities. Support revocation and suspension of certificates on Unclassified and/or Classified networks. Perform third party key recovery. Support registration and/or termination of Local Registration Authorities (LRAs) and Trusted Agensts (TAs.) Ensure RA Operations are aligned with DODIN and DISA requirements for LRA, TA and Enhanced TAs in accordance with DOD Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) RA-LRA CPS and RPS. Monitor PKI RA Operations in accordance with DOD PKI RA-LRA CPS and RPS to ensure they are aligned with DISA Audit requirements. Support DLA J6 in addressing audit findings to include mitigation and correction of findings in accordance with DOD DOD PKI RPS and CPS. Uses Document Automation and Content Services (DACS) to store and maintain user requests for access to DOD and DLA systems. Establish and maintain communications with appropriate staff within DOD/DLA ensuring knowledge transfer to advance and sustain mission requirements.

Qualifications

To qualify for an IT Specialist (INFOSEC), your resume and supporting documentation must include: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum quali?cations, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-o?/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Documents findings on system access control deficiencies and recommends corrective actions and generates internal control observations to initiate corrective actions. Collects, maintains and analyzes all requests for access to the various systems on user account administration tasks to include creating, changing, deleting user accounts, and assigning privileges with information systems. Develops local policies and procedures that reflect the legislative intent of the application information assurance laws and regulations. Performs risk assessment and reviews of the IT systems, software and access controls which incorporates a risk- based approach used to analyze the impact. Develops test plans, conducts tests to validate compliance with access controls and internal use software policy and procedures and analyzing the effectiveness of the controls in place. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
