About the Position: The Program Support Assistant (Office Automation) will provide administrative support for community support services and programs for the Army Community Services Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

Duties

Provide administrative and secretarial support to the division chief and program specialists. Serve as an authoritative source on all clerical and administrative functions. Perform office management and administrative service support functions such as correspondence preparation; suspense control, records maintenance; mail receipt and distribution; service requests; and meeting coordination and support. Coordinate with co-workers, managers, customers and other federal, state or local agencies to exchange information; identify problems, needs or issues and provide recommended solutions. Interpret and adapt guidelines for application to specific cases or problem Serve as Government Purchase Cardholder (GPC) for purchase of office supplies and equipment.

Requirements

  • Appointment subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.

Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
