About the Position: This position is with the 79th Sustainment Support Command, Headquarters, located at Los Alamitos, California.
Duties
Conduct staff visits throughout the organization to evaluate logistical readiness.
Provide guidance to subordinate elements to support their mission requirements.
Monitor transportation support for contingency operations.
Manage the organization’s property book to advise on property accountability.
Analyze directives from higher headquarters to determine logistics needs of the organization.
Develop and implement policies to support mobilization readiness in all areas of logistical operation.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Interpreting regulations, directives and/or policies to ensure compliance. 2) Analyzing metrics to determine requirements for logistical support operations, such as supply, transportation, maintenance and/or food service. 3) Providing training on logistics matters within the organization. 4) Formulating budget estimates. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
