About the Position: This position is with the 79th Sustainment Support Command, Headquarters, located in Los Alamitos, California.
Duties
Advise Director and subordinate staff on the logistics status and logistics support required and available for current or proposed operations.
Research and interpret regulations, directives, and policies to instruct staff on logistical matters.
Execute activities that relate to receipt, storage, and issuing of supplies.
Analyze reports and request for assistance in resolving logistical problems.
Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates and provide regular feedback on strengths and weaknesses.
Exercises supervision over the daily activities to assist in carrying out the logistical functions of the unit.
Recommend approval or disapproval of request for expenditure funds based on priority of request and funds availability.
Provide guidance to subordinate elements on formulation budget estimates for logistical requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The business travel requirement is 25%.
