This position is in the Office of Resolution Management Diversity and Inclusion. The incumbent will be involved with equal employment opportunity programs and initiatives that focus on the recruitment, advancement, and retention of certain groups from underrepresented communities. Under supervision of a Director, the incumbent will be assigned to one or more special emphasis programs.
Duties
Operate Special Emphasis Programs to improve recruitment, advancement, and retention of individuals from diverse groups within an agency.
Provide guidance on laws, regulations, Executive Orders and policies related to Special Emphasis Programs.
Identify potential issues or barriers faced by individuals from diverse groups in the applicant pool and workforce and strategies to eliminate them.
Prepare written material pertaining to Special Emphasis Programs i.e. policies, reports, congressional correspondence, articles website content, etc.
Provide information through multiple vehicles that promote workplace diversity and inclusion in an agency.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

To qualify, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-11) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves (1) Operating a program to improve hiring, advancement, and retention of individuals from diverse groups within an agency; (2) Providing guidance on laws, regulations, Executive Orders, and policies related to equal employment opportunity, diversity, and inclusion; and (3) Analyzing data to identify potential hinderances to equal employment opportunity.
Time-in-grade: Applicants who are/were federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. For a GS-12 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11 level. To support your claim of time in grade, you must submit your most recent appointment, promotion, or within grade increase SF-50 (not an award or general adjustment SF-50). Education
There is no educational substitution for the GS-12 level.
