You will serve as a MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR in the Southwest Reqional Fleet Transportation Division of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.

Duties

You will operate vehicles of 22,000 lbs., gross weight rating and up to and including gross vehicle weight rating of 32,000 lbs. You will operate a variety of trucks and tractor trailers to transport supplies, fuel, materials, equipment and tools or to tow equipment. You will drive vehicles on regularly established schedules and routes or on a specific trip basis to transport personnel, equipment and materials where directed. You will drive motor coaches on long distance trips which usually involve interstate driving and night driving. You will load and unload materials or direct crews in this task and check materials delivered against various types of records to insure against errors. You will cleans and preforms operational maintenance of assigned vehicle. You will perform operational inspection of assigned vehicles.

• You are required to possess and maintain a current valid United States Class A driver’s license, with Air Brake, passenger, and Hazmat endorsement.
• You will be required to possess and maintain a current Forklift certification for 10,000 lbs. and above.
• You may be required to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
• You may be required to be recalled to duty
