You will serve as a ELECTRICIAN in the Temporary Services Shop (Code 990), Production Resources Department (Code 900) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will assist journey level electricians with assembly, testing and repairing of electrical equipment, installation of temporary ship electrical cables, fixtures and equipment You will assist higher graded Electrician Mechanics and received on-the job (OJT) training and perform recurring work characteristic of the Electrician Mechanic, as well as to receive and/or formal training towards the target grade. You will perform progressively more difficult and responsible electrician work assignments and tasks associated with the trade. You will frequently handle objects weighing up to 44 pounds and occasionally, heavy exertion is required.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
