You will serve as a FAMILY ADVOCACY CLINICAL LEAD in the Fleet and Family Support Center of NAVAL AIR STATION.
Duties
You will function as a specialized social worker/psychologist/ marriage and family therapist.
You will provide education, services and resources regarding complex counseling and domestic violence situations.
You will provide all case presentations to the Incident Determination Committee.
You will develop program materials that are specific to each Command and Military Branches to assist in the coordination of Family Advocacy Program.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Receiving initial Family Advocacy Program reports, conducting intake interviews and contacting other sources of information to complete risk assessments
Providing safety planning for victims including making recommendations, or effecting removal of family members;
Developing goals for clinical treatment, providing independent consultation and making treatment recommendations AND
Planning, and evaluating of Family Advocacy Program using internal review systems to develop program goals and services.

This position is a TIER THREE clinical care practitioner with clinical supervisor eligibility. Applicants must meet all of the following requirements as outlined in SECNAVINST 1754.8:
1. Possess at least a masters or doctoral degree in one of the following disciplines:
a. Master's degree from a program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs (CACREP) or an equivalent degree, OR
b. Master's degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) or an equivalent degree, OR
c. Master's degree in Social Work from a graduate school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) or an equivalent degree, OR
d. Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited university or professional school and a one-year APA accredited clinical internship
2. State or U.S. territory license or certification that provides legal authority to provide clinical services as an independent practitioner in the fields of Licensed Professional Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Social Work, Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology.
3. When the state or U.S. territory licensing or certification requirements include a written examination, candidates for privileging, must have achieved a passing score on that examination.
4. Must have engaged in two years, full-time, post-masters supervised clinical experience AND have two years, full-time clinical experience post independent licensure or certification.

Education
Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:
For the GS-0101 Professional Social Science Series: Applicants must possess a behavioral or social science degree, or a degree in a related discipline appropriate to the position being filled; OR a combination of education and experience that provided knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field; OR four years of appropriate experience that demonstrates knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
For the GS-0180 Professional Psychology Series: Applicants must possess a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
For the GS-0185 Professional Social Work Series: Applicants must possess a degree in social work that fulfills all of the requirements for the master's degree in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education; OR a master's degree in social work with practicum.
The following education may be substituted for specialized experience: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree; OR a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience must equal one hundred percent.
