Duties

You will serve as an IT Project Manager for Communications and IT equipment, software and materials. You will service capital planning, budget, execution and fiscal requirements. You will conduct Capital Planning and Investment Assessments for Communication and IT requirements, equipment, goods, services, and capabilities. You will provide recommendations for the use of contractual services for Communication and IT Programming or related work. You will employ advanced analysis and programming technologies to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of Communication and IT systems design and life cycle management. You will provide technical advice in the area of Communications and IT equipment., goods, services and/or capabilities. You will perform a wide range of budgetary and procurement actions in direct support of operations.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

Qualifications

GS-12: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Demonstrated experience leading and managing military programs related to Information Technology (IT) with additional experience in budgeting and the procurement of financial resources to accomplish program goals. GS-11: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Demonstrated experience assisting in the management of military programs related to Information Technology with additional experience assisting in budget formation or other duties related to the procurement of financial resources. Education

GS-11:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
