This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office (CWMD). CWMD's mission is to develop strategies to protect the country from threats. The primary purpose of this position is to serves as a lead for office coordination. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.

Duties

As a Coordination Manager, GS-0301-14, your typical work assignments may include: Maintains sensitivity and awareness of the Assistant Secretary, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary, and Chief of Staff priority goals related to coordination of office activities. Communicates regularly with the CWMD Directorates to ensure CWMD's mission and activities are effectively coordinated and accurately aligned with CWMD and DHS policy and strategic objectives. Serves as a technical advisor for the development of comprehensive processes, procedures, SOPs, tactics, and tools that align with the CWMD mission, core values, strategic goals, and the priorities of DHS leadership. Works with the Deputy Chief of Staff and senior management to identify, analyze, develop, and implement policies and strategies on a diverse array of management and administrative issues related to homeland security and oversee the execution of these policies and strategies. Formulates and implements plans to improve program policies, practices, methods, and organizational structure. Qualifications

Specialized Experience You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in Federal service or equivalent private/public sector experience. For this position, specialized experience is defined as: Work with senior management to identify, analyze, develop, and implement policies and strategies. Oversee the execution of these policies and strategies. Develop recommendations and program information for advising on planning and conduct of management and administrative activities. NOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible. Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level. All qualifications and eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. Time-in-grade: Current General Schedule (GS) federal employees, and those that have served in GS positions within the last 52 weeks, must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade, or a combination of the next lower grade level and an equivalent band in the federal service by the closing of this announcement. Note: Current or former Federal employees MUST submit a copy of their SF-50 Form which shows competitive service appointment ("position occupied" block 34 on the SF-50 should show a "1"), tenure group (block 24 should show a 1 or 2), grade, and salary.
