About the Position: The Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Personnel Policy supports Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness as the proponent for all military personnel policies and programs regarding recruiting, retention, compensation, travel and related human resources support for 2.1 million active and reserve service members.

Duties

Develop and analyze legislation and policies related to all Service members financial literacy and preparedness needs and issues within the Department of Defense (DoD). Oversee all actions during the execution of the Quadrennial Review of Military Compensation (QRMC). Serve as the subject matter expert for the department on QRMC processes and ensuring the department appropriately budgets for the next QRMC. Research and coordinate resolution of extremely complex time essential actions for Service members. Create database, reporting procedures, and data displays depicting the needs of Service members and programs responding to those needs. Maintain awareness of the financial education literature, findings, and emerging methods/technologies relevant to financial literacy training program evaluation. Perform a full range of first-level supervisory responsibilities; plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities.

Requirements
