About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at Boerne, TX. This position will develop, coordinate, and implement ammunition allocation management, quality assurance, testing and maintenance of military weapons, storage of ammunition, and air delivery operations of personnel and equipment.

Duties

Review budget data to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement. Establish departmental policies, goals, objectives, or procedures in accordance with federal regulations. Manage the movement of munitions into and out of facilities to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, or sustainability of operations. Plan and assign work based on priorities, requirements of assignments and capabilities of Employees. Coordinate activities with commercial manufacturers including many foreign companies and advises on the development and production of new small arms and ammunition for special programs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The employee must obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance applicable to the duties of the position.
  • This position is covered by the civilian drug abuse testing program. Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R, Condition of Employment for certain civilian positions identified as critical under the Drug Abuse Testing Program.
  • This position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence are not eligible for the position.
  • This position will perform travel to other locations.
