You will serve as a ENGINEERING EQUIPMENT OPERATOR of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will have equipment operator skill to grade surfaces to rough or fine specifications by adjusting attachments while the vehicle is in motion and on all types of terrain. You will have equipment operator skills utilizing good hand, foot, and eye coordination, depth perception, and a high degree of concentration in order to perform the operations necessary to grade the surface. You will have equipment operator knowledge of a variety of soil composition and terrain features to determine a proper approach, and knowledge of the purpose and limitations of a variety of attachments.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Work is performed outside, and the operator is subjected to all types of weather conditions. Subject to noise, vibration, dust, dirt and fumes. May be assigned to areas where harmful physical and chemical agents are present.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: The ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision, operating heavy equipment to push, pull, pike, load, and compact materials such as sand, gravel, and snow while moving and covering earth and refuse.
