You will serve as a MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR in the LOGISTICS DIRECTORATE of NAVMEDREADLOGCMD.

Duties

You will operate gasoline or diesel-powered tractor-trailers or truck and full trailer combinations and vehicles which typically have an approximate gross vehicle weight of more than 32,000 pounds. You will direct and assist in the performance of loading and unloading cargo. You will keep trip records or logs, showing time of departure sequence of stops, time of return, trip mileage, fuel/oil consumption, etc. You will make operational inspections of vehicles for loose parts, proper air brake connections, damaged or worn tires, proper air pressure in tires, adequate fuel supply, water in the radiator, proper oil level, battery condition.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s license with trailer (T) endorsement.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 44 pounds in weight.
  • You must have the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth.

Qualifications
