You will serve as a MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR in the SOUTHWEST REGION OF FLEET TRASNPORTATION DIVISON, G-4 of Logistics Department located in MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.
Duties
You will drive gasoline or diesel powered passenger buses with a rated capacity of 21 passengers and above on scheduled or unscheduled long and short trips transporting military and/or civilian personnel.
You will exercise safety controls in loading and unloading passengers.
You will transport ammunition to and from military installations.
You will occasionally operate gasoline or diesel powered vehicles with a gross weight of 22,000 pounds or more such as cargo, van, or stake bed vehicles.
You will supervise user driver maintenance when required.
You will follow route directions while keeping in mind vehicle dimensions to safely clear underpasses and various route obstacles.
You will be required to observe established schedules and follow prescribed routes while observing speed limits in various areas and on highway.
You will observe maximum passengers capacities as stated for the type of vehicle operated and also transports only authorized personnel.
You will on an as needed basis may operate sedan, pickup trucks, carryalls, and station wagons.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- Must possess and be able to maintain a Commercial Class B Driver's License with passenger endorsement. NOTE: Failure to submit a copy of your valid DL will result in disqualification, and you will NOT be referred to the hiring manager.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- Must be willing and able to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 40 pounds in weight.
- This position requires that the selectee have visual acuity and accurate color discrimination. Selectee must be able to distinguish between colors and shades of colors.
