The primary purpose of this position is to exercise second level supervisory and managerial authorities over the Materiel Management Flight in the Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS). This position is responsible for the oversight of stocking, storing. issuing. managing. inventorying, and inspecting DoD supplies and equipment, including nuclear weapons-related materiel.
Duties
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets, and adjusts short/long-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Material Management Flight. Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization. supply, and transportation objectives.
Represents the Materiel Management Flight with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with all levels of management throughout tile wing and base; will represent the organization as the Materiel Management Flight Manager and the Fuels Contractor Functional Director.
Directs the Materiel Management Flight that is responsible for Stocking, storing, issuing, managing, inventorying, and inspecting DoD supplies and equipment for the installation.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule, Administrative and Management Support Positions, Logistics Mangement Series 0346
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include Knowledge of logistics management operations in supply, fuels and transportation policies, practices, and techniques including knowledge of military and commercial transportation programs, storage and materials equipment policies and materiel management. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures. Knowledge of federal and DOD regulations and guidance pertaining to nuclear weapons-related materiel.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of logistics management operations in supply, fuels and transportation policies, practices, and techniques including knowledge of military and commercial transportation programs, storage and materials equipment policies and materiel management; Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
2. Ability to identify problems, develop and implement innovative detailed strategies to resolve a wide range of programming, budgetary, financial and management issues. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with key individuals/groups within and outside immediate work unit including field-level representatives.
3. Ability to executive complex projects and/or studies within established time constraints, Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
4. Ability to advise senior leaders, Program Element Monitors and field-level representatives, Knowledge of federal and DOD regulations and guidance pertaining to nuclear weapons-related materiel
5. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor motivate, and apprise the staff of an organization on through subordinate supervisor.
6. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources, Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options concerning materiel and fuels management.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
