This position is located in the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Departmental Administration (DA), Office of Operations (OO), Executive Services Division (ESD).
The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the planning and evaluation of travel programs and proposed changes, analyzing and monitoring travel program funding and spending data, and analyzing and processing travel and transportation vouchers.

Duties
Analyzing financial status reports for overall travel program status and evaluating continual changes in program plans and funding to identify and report the effect on financial program milestones.
Developing long-range management plans for efficient and effective implementation and administration of travel programs and activities.
Receiving and analyzing travel and transportation vouchers.
Requirements
- You must be a US Citizen or US National.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
Time in grade:
Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.
GS-09 Specialized Experience: Qualifying experience for GS-09 includes one year of specialized experience comparable to GS-07 which is directly related to the work of this position, and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. For this position, specialized experience is experience:
Monitoring travel program funding and spending data.
Reviewing clerical work processes of travel-related programs to recommend solutions to problems.
Processing travel and transportation vouchers.
OR
master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR
Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade levels specified.
GS-11 Specialized Experience: Qualifying experience for GS-11 includes one year of specialized experience comparable to GS-09 which is directly related to the work of this position, and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. For this position, specialized experience is experience:
Reviewing travel program funding, spending data, and developing cost information reflecting program trends for the organization's financial program.
Receiving and reviewing supporting travel documents to process travel authorizations and vouchers to determine reimbursements.
Reviewing computer-generated reports to ensure that the accounting data reported is correct and complete for the travel program.
Managing the travel program and making substantive recommendations on program implementation, improvements, and processes as it pertains to laws, regulations, polices.

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.M., if related
