As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.The incumbent serves as Deputy Director of the Office of National Security Programs and Incident Response (AXE).
Duties
The incumbent is responsible for providing senior leadership and oversight for the planning, coordination, direction, implementation, and assessment of FAA’s National Security Programs and Incident Response to support the ability of ASH to accomplish critical mission responsibilities.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-K, FG/GS-15 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE IS DEFINED AS:Experience developing or overseeing the implementation of national security programs; providing expert-level advice, guidance, and support to senior management officials; and/or providing oversight and guidance to others on projects or programs of high importance and visibility within an organization or agency.Demonstrated ability to collaborate, facilitate, and implement successful resolutions involving national security programs at the program, agency, and department level or equivalent.Experience collaborating with multi-level national and international government organizations on national security matters and providing operational and strategic leadership within a geographically dispersed organization to support safety of the NAS.Experience overseeing complex investigations or intelligence reports to provide strategic guidance and when applicable apply laws, rules, and regulations to enhance safety of the global ecosystem.Experience developing appropriate comprehensive national strategies in support of FAA collaboration with national security partners to address emerging threats to national and international aviation; providing strategic insights on aviation security legislation; and assisting in formulating responses to Congressional inquiries and prepares high-impact briefings and testimonies for legislative engagements.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
