The Logistics Management Specialist performs multiple and varying logistics assignments under the limited direction of the manager or more experienced professional. Acts as a Subject Matter Expert on teams for assigned projects/programs and serves in leadership roles.

Duties

Applies experience and advanced knowledge applicable to forecasting, monitoring, analyzing, coordinating and controlling assigned inventory items required to effectively and efficiently maintain NAS operations. Assignments may require knowledge and experience working across functional and/or organizational lines.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Successful completion of security investigation may be required.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the FV-H (FG/GS-12) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-G, (FG/GS 10-11) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE includes: Experience developing supply support plans for complex and diverse NAS Systems and equipment programs; reviewing, evaluating, and determining appropriate stock and repair levels using analytical tools such as repair level analysis and spares quantification; experience developing budgets and disbursement plans to include recommending and implementing resolutions of funding/budgetary problems; determining impact of supply support related requirements; Coordinating delays, identifying, resolving and scheduling deliveries; Analyzing data, preparing reports, and presenting information; experience with acquisition regulations and procedures necessary to process purchase request and prepare complex contract packages, which includes assisting in the preparation of Statements of Work (SOW) and Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE).Applicants should include examples of specialized experience in their work history.
