This position is located at Sports & Fitness Centers BLGD's 148, 170, and Outdoor Gym, Patriot Blvd, Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico. Duties

Assists Facility Manager in the overall management and operation of a fitness facility. Conducts classes and walks all facility rooms to provide guidance or referral as appropriate. Cleans and performs minor maintenance on facility equipment. Assists with publicity of programs and events assists with marketing of posters, flyers and other promotional material. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
• Obtain within 6 months of employment and maintain certification: Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
• Obtain within 6 months of employment and maintain certification: MWR Orientation Course; Customer Service; Equipment (Safe Operation and Basic Maintenance Repair).
• This position is located at the Fort Buchanan Sports and Fitness Center. Hours of operation may be from 0445 to 2115, Monday to Friday, weekends and holidays. Schedule will be determined by mission needs.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements: Possesses directly related work experience that includes the demonstrated ability to operate multiple fitness facilities. The related work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. HIGHLY PREFERRED Are those candidates that possess both the minimum qualifications above and all of the following: Possession of a Nationally Recognized Basic Fitness Trainer Certification Possess directly related work experience operating multiple facilities Demonstrated ability to work independently Possess front desk skills such as customer service and registration, administrative work, proficiency in MS Office Suite, multitasking and organization skills Possess cashier skills to include but not limited to familiarity with cash desk equipment (Point-Of-Sale [POS]), scanners and cash drawers, accuracy in counting and handling money PLEASE NOTE: Applicants that are considered highly preferred may be sent first for consideration.
