This position is located in Fort Meade, MD in U.S. MARINE CORPS FORCES CYBERSPACE COMMAND (MARFORCYBER) Intelligence Staff Section (J/G-2), Cyberspace Intelligence Operations Department (J/G-23 OPS), Intelligence Support Division (J/G-23 OPS-ISD) in the Collection Management Office (CMO). You will serve as the primary Collection manager and will primarily be responsible for the planning and execution of collection management in support of cyberspace operations.

Duties

You will be responsible for providing centralized administration, governance, coordination of all Collection Management requirements. You will serve as a senior collection manager for all issues pertaining to all source intelligence collection requirements and production management, including doctrine, policy, and procedures; oversight; and other issues. You will serve as an intelligence requirements management project officer for routine, special access program, and compartmented projects, operations, or services. You will collect, analyze, interpret, evaluate and integrate complex data from multiple sources in assessing the relevance and significance of developments in an assigned area(s), and in preparing new or revising prior intelligence products. You will identify intelligence gaps, specify collection requirements to fill gaps, and develop analytical tools and methodologies to cope with the gaps.

  • You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
  • This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
  • This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Travel required for contingency/exercise support, briefings, conferences, and training.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties such as: 1) Planning the execution of collection management in support of cyberspace operations; 2) Overseeing all of the intelligence collection activities performed by the Command including Geospatial Intelligence, Open Source Intelligence, Signals intelligence, Counter-Intelligence and Human Intelligence; 3) Providing technical and analytical advice to headquarters staff sections, subordinate commands and units in matters relating to intelligence collection.
