You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the NETWORK OPERATIONS BRANCH (N621), INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS SERVICES DIVISION (N62), INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT (N6) of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.
Duties
You will act as Communications Officer for NAVOCEANO and be responsible for the management, operations and sustainment of the internal and external network environments.
You will serve as first level supervisor planning, organizing, supervising, and directing a group of employees responsible for network, cryptographic, and telecommunication operations.
You will plan, direct, and administer workload, priorities, assignment of tasks and redirection to ensure completion of priority actions.
You will provide guidance on technical problems to individuals with the branch and make decisions on work problems presented by employees.
You will develop program/project management plans, implementing eared value management and risk management, for network equipment and software supporting a command.
You will review and analyze resource requirements needed to successfully execute operational objectives ensuring IT solutions continue to satisfy operational needs.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code IT PROJECT MANAGER, proficiency level INTERMEDIATE the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience with network operations to include network administration of routers, firewalls, switches, cryptographic operations support and administration, and telecommunications. Experience supervising or leading an information technology team responsible for operational availability and cybersecurity compliance. Experience in cybersecurity to include analysis and implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guides and cybersecurity actions is required. Experience developing technical specifications, statements of work, estimates and performing market research for procurement of network equipment. Experience with existing/emerging technologies related to configuring and maintaining Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN), network circuits and satellite communications.

3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, considering the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include presenting clear, concise and well-structured oral presentations.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include making provisions for development and training of cross-training.
