You will serve as an IT Specialist (Enterprise Architecture) in the OFFICE OF THE TECHNICAL DIRECTOR at the NAVAL OCEANOGRAPHIC OFFICE (NAVOCEANO), STENNIS SPACE CENTER, MS.
Duties
You will develop policy and provide management oversight for the Command's geospatial data, information and knowledge portfolio.
You will function as the Geospatial Information and Services Functional Data Manager organizationally.
You will serve as the staff lead for the development and management of operational data, information and knowledge.
You will be responsible for policy, oversight, identification, authorization for use, migration planning and life cycle management planning of net-centric services developed.

- The position has been designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position in specialty area code 651 and incumbents of the position are required to comply with the DON Cyber IT/CSWF Program requirements of SECNAV M-5239.2, which include:
- Earn and maintain appropriate credentials from the Cyber IT/CSWF Qualification Matrix (described in SECNAV M-5239.2) associated with the specialty area and level commensurate with the scope of major assigned duties for the position to which assigned
- Participate in a continuous learning program as described in SECNAVINST 1543.2. A minimum of 40 hours of Cyber IT/CSWF related continuous learning annually documented in a current individual development plan signed by employee and supervisor.
- Incumbent is required to hold or obtain a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or Top Secret final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience using a wide range of concepts, principles and practices related to IT systems management, requirements analysis, system development, computer systems analysis and design, configuration management, systems capacity, and performance; Experience and mastery of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Technologies; Experience with Life Cycle Management for very large and complex IT systems; Experience with web services, web based systems design and development including use of extensible Markup Language (XML), Hyper-Text Markup Language (HTML), Web Services Description Language (WSDL); Experience with data ontology and taxonomy design and usages and with system and data modeling tools and techniques; and Experience coordinating large groups of technical professionals to integrate and implement very large complex computer systems.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
