You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILTARY) in the NAVY RECRUITING COMMAND of NRD ST LOUIS.
Duties
You will maintain files and employee records (e.g., position descriptions, training records) in accordance with policy.
You will advise customers on staffing and recruitment processing procedures.
You will explain personnel processes, requirements, or procedures to employees.
You will draft written responses to requests for information from employees or managers.
Requirements

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-6 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing computer software to perform a variety of basic automated operations and functions; 2) Responding to inquires regarding human resources issues; 3) Ensuring applicants meet the basic eligibility requirements for specific programs; 4)Applying personnel policies, procedures, rules and regulations to maintain personnel records.
