This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, Director of Operational Logistics, Base Detachment, St. Louis, MO.
Duties
This position is responsible for maintaining personnel and administrative actions processes and procedures for the management of members within RAPIDS for all Active Duty and Reserves members and their dependents of all military branches, along with other civilian employees that require to have a Command Access Card (CAC) within the upper district 8 AOR.Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Qualifications
GS-06: Applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lowest grade level (GS-5) equivalent to experience gained in the federal sector. Examples of specialized experience includes experience using and/or running the RAPIDS (Real-time Automated Personal Identification System) and DMDC (Defense Manpower Data Center) computer systems or similar automated system; experience in handing various different Microsoft applications (i.e. word, excel); any experience with work related to Human Resource Management and/or administration; experience working closely within the rolls of customer service.Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
