About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W00YAA US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY CMD

Duties

Prepare requirement and authorization documents to support force structure functions. Develop programs for force integration to ensure mission accomplishment. Review studies and staff actions to ensure consistency with strategies and objectives. Represent the organization in force management actions to senior personnel and other agencies.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 10% or less of the time.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.

Including preparing, coordinating, and/or publishing requirement and authorization documents such as Tables of Organization and Equipment (TOE), Modified Tables of Organization of Equipment (MTOE), Tables of Distribution and Allowances (TDA), and/or Augmentation Tables of Distribution and Allowances (AUGTDA), and/or executing force structure functions like Force Design Updates (FDUs), Change Management Plans (CMPs), equipping, stationing, or/and manpower studies and assessments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12). Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled.
