Qualifications
In order to qualify for a Counseling Psychologist, GS-0180 position you must meet the Basic Education Requirement:
Completed 2 full academic years of graduate study directly related to professional work in counseling psychology, or satisfactory completed in an accredited educational institution of all the requirements for a master's degree directly related to counseling psychology.
In addition to the above basic requirements, to qualify for a Counseling Psychologist position at the GS-13 level, you must have:
One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: managing an EAP Program for a large organization including conducting quality assurance audits and proposing changes to programs and policies; personally performing the full range of counseling services; and representing an organization to a variety of stakeholders.
Selective Factor(s): In order to meet minimum qualification requirements you must demonstrate possession of the selective factor of this position. Selective factor: Possess an unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland or equivalent licensure in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia
