The position is a Not-To-Exceed 3 years appointment, with the possibility to be extended for an additional 1 year (maximum 4 year appointment).
Duties
Serve as Psychologist with full professional responsibility for findings, interpretations, decisions, recommendations and reports.
Coordinate scholarly review of literature involved in complex and difficult areas of specialization.
Prepare reports for senior staff to use in program planning and evaluation and information dissemination.
Serve on inter agency committees and task forces, which are organized for the purpose of addressing problems and issues relevant to the specialized area.
Supervise, mentor, and train assistants in the collection, coding, and statistical analysis of data.
Requirements

Qualifications
Basic Education Requirement
In order to qualify for a Psychologist, GS-0180 position, you must have successfully completed a 4 year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major or equivalent in psychology.
Additional Qualifications
In addition, in order to qualify for a Psychologist, GS-0180 at the GS-13 level, you must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks:
serving as a psychologist with full professional responsibility for research findings, interpretations, decisions, and reports; providing recommendations regarding the development or improvement of psychology programs; designing and evaluating psychology research studies; and presenting scientific information to both scientific and non-scientific personnel.
You will receive credit for all experience material to the position, including experience gained in religious, civic, welfare, service, and organizational activities, regardless of whether you received pay.
