Duties
You will provide engineering support in the field of construction contracts between the organization and private contractors.
You will provide overall coordination of the construction quality management program for assigned projects.
You must review technical engineering specifications, drawings, and statements of work covering complex and diverse designs for constructability and accuracy.
You will apply technical knowledge of engineering practices and construction methods in conjunction with sound judgements.
You will maintain extensive contact with key contractor representatives to promote partnership and quickly resolve problems.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying Facility Management engineering principles (i.e. civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) for the operation, design, construction, and sustainment of industrial and commercial facilities; 2) Presenting designs and plans for facility projects; 3) Analyzing and inspecting facilities to determine design problems and make recommendations to improve its economic efficiency and effectiveness; 4) Utilizing computer software (i.e. AutoCAD, Maximo, WINEST, etc.) to track work orders, facility projects, create reports, etc.
