You will serve as a Financial & Administrative Management Specialis in the Marine Meteorology Division, code 750200 of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY CONUS.

Duties

You will assist the supervisor in budget formulation and execution of Divisions finances. You will develop recommendations for the supervisor when financial or resource allocation adjustments are required. You will ensure that funds are promptly accepted and solve any outstanding issues in an expedient manner. You will maintain and organize divisions current financial records. You will prepare administrative portion of procurement requests, ensuring the technical information follows proper guidelines.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-01/04) or pay band (NO-01) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience shows the ability to 1) Analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; 2) Planning and organizing work and; 3) Communicating effectively orally and in writing. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
  • Successful completed a four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree

  • A combination of education and experience totaling 100%
