Duties
You will install, modify, and repair new and existing utility, supply, disposal systems and equipment such as sewage, water, oil, and gas distribution systems, water closets, tubs, fire sprinkler systems, and showers.
You will work from building plans, blueprints, and sketches to plan and layout the routing, placement, slant, slope, fall, and proper operation of systems and equipment.
You will install, modify, and repair systems by locating and tapping main lines, setting up system routes, placing and cutting route openings, placing hangers for proper level and slope.
You will complete routing and placement of systems leading to the equipment, seats, hooks up, and tests the equipment.
You will determine and install valves, traps, and unions needed for proper operation of systems.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- You will be required to furnish normal tools of the trade used on a day to day basis.
- This position requires rotating shift work.
- Must be willing and able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
