As an Administrative Assistant (Office Automation), you will provide a variety of technical and administrative support services that includes maintaining schedules, arranging meetings, and preparing correspondence, charts and documents.

Duties
As an Administrative Assistant (Office Automation), you will:
Use computer software to create, edit and print reports, spreadsheets, and a variety of correspondence, and ensure proper format, spelling, grammar and punctuation in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
Develop, design and produce documents, graphs, charts, workforce statistics and other special projects.
Provide office support by answering phones, greeting visitors, distributing mail and filing records.
Communicate and coordinate with bankers on any special information requests.
Manage the workflow for the office by prioritizing projects and establishing standard operation procedures.
Arrange meetings for internal and external groups.
Ensure all office equipment is in working order and conduct appropriate sourcing when repairs are required.
Maintain office calendar, update schedules, and provide daily and/or weekly printouts to supervisor.
Serve as primary and/or backup timekeeper and travel expense reviewer.
Create, maintain and update computer-based records and verifies accuracy of data and distribute them to staff.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement:
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-II band level or GS-04. Examples of specialized experience for this position include:
Providing clerical and administrative support to an organization such as drafting letters or creating reports using automated systems, maintaining files and records, and communicating with individuals inside and outside the organization to share or obtain information.
OR
You may substitute education for experience as follows:
4 years of education above the high school level in any field.
OR
You may qualify with a combination of experience and education. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e. beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience.
AND
Typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute.
The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
