As a Supervisory Construction Control Representative, you will perform construction related duties in support of project managers, enabling PBS to leverage its resources to facilitate achievement of business and workplace needs.Location of position: Office of Facilities Management - Potomac Service Center, National Capital Region, Public Buildings Service, General Services AdministrationWe are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
Collaborate with customers translating requirements into technical solutions to address customer needs. Perform lifecycle condition analyses and similar assessments to develop project scopes of work.
Review project plans, drawings and specifications analyzing construction methods to determine practicality. Advise on proper construction procedures, including those that incorporate complex design features, unusual building materials and advanced techniques.
Support negotiations on architectural/engineering (A/E) and construction contracts providing cost analyses of design services and construction methods and techniques. Evaluate cost estimates to ensure fairness, reasonability and compliance with scopes of work.
Manage project teams overseeing project activities and resources and ensuring proper construction phasing, adherence to schedules and to identify and mitigate risks.
Requirements

The GS-13 salary range starts at $117,962 per year. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service leading teams of subordinate multi-functional construction management personnel in the development and management of construction or alteration projects. Such experience must demonstrate coordination of multiple assignments, projects or program segments defining requirements with customers; applying complex construction procedures; reviewing and advising on drawings and specifications; contract administration; inspection and acceptance of materials and workmanship; and cost estimation.
