As a Construction Control Representative, you will have the overall responsibility for technical, financial, and business management of designated design and construction projects.Location of position: Public Building Services, Office of Design and Construction, Washington DC.
We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
Analyzes and monitors impact on building systems and equipment to determine facility capability in meeting customer needs.
Prepares reviews and/or considers lifecycle condition analysis and similar assessments and from those findings integrates and quantifies requirements into a scope of workfor the project.
Reviews project plans, drawings and specifications analyzing construction methods and techniques for Federal office buildings and courthouses incorporating complexdesign features unusual building materials and advanced building techniques.
Evaluates cost estimates to determine if costs are fair and reasonable and that all proposed work is in accordance with the scope of work requested.
Sets policies and approves procedures for quality assurance/quality control processes.

The GS-12 salary range starts at $94,199 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is experience applying engineering methods and techniques and construction practices related to building systems (e.g. heating, ventilation, air conditioning, architectural finishes, electrical systems, fire protection systems, or plumbing systems, etc.); defining requirements with customers; developing constructioncost estimates; inspecting construction; administering construction contracts; and reading and interpreting engineering and architectural plans and specifications. Such experience must also include independently managing projects and/or large portions of projects (balance scope/quality, schedule and budget) requiring the services of multiple disciplines from project initiation phase through project closeout.
