About the Position: This position is located in Fort Moore, Georgia, Facilities Division; Americas South East Faciliites Maintenance.

Duties

Removes garbage or debris from interior and exterior facilities. Prepares grounds for specific events. Maintains playgrounds, athletic fields, preparing fields for specific event, setting up and moving sports apparatus etc Maintains school floors and/or exterior sidewalls. Operate heavy powered equipment to maintain landscaping duties Utilize directions and sequences for tasks such as chemical application to lawn and ice during inclement weather.

Requirements

• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
• Direct deposit of pay is required.
• One year trial or probationary period may be required.
• Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
• This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.
• A pre-placement medical examination is required.
• This position may include assignments to first or second shift.

Working Condition: Works outside in all kinds of weather and inside in areas that may be dusty, dirty, noisy and have other adverse working conditions. The equipment, tools and tasks involved frequently require special care to avoid serious injuries. Occasionally, is exposed to skin irritations from strong cleaning solutions used in stripping floors, etc. and to serious injuries (e.g., broken bones) from falls from ladders and scaffolds.
