This National Guard position is for a RESILIENCE AND RISK REDUCTION PROGRAM SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD1989000 and is part of the TN ARMY, National Guard.
THIS IS A TEMPORARY APPOINTMENT. THIS POSITION WILL NOT EXCEED 2025 FISCAL YEAR.

Duties
As a RESILIENCE AND RISK REDUCTION PROGRAM SPECIALIST, GS-0301-09, you will develop, implement, coordinate and monitors all aspects of the R3/SPP related to identification, assessment, intervention and preventive education. Serve as the collection/collaboration point of contact (POC) for the submission of crimes against persons and property, injuries/accidents, spouse abuse, child abuse and suicide attempts/completions in a computerized spreadsheet system. Create quality spreadsheets, printouts and graphics for use by commanders, assesses data and provides command consultations to commanders at all levels recommending intervention strategies. Provide plans for an efficient resource management program and maximum support of service delivery. Prepare and edits a variety of training aids, organizational charts, slides, briefing materials, etc. on all aspects of the programs. Provide technical and administrative guidance on a variety of functions in support of the MILPO. Perform other duties as assigned.

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

- Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.

- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Applicant must complete a Baseline Pre-Placement Screening for General Schedule positions within 30 days of appointment.
- Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate Tricare Reserve Select eligibility.
- For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
- For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver’s license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
Qualifications
Military Grades: E-3 through E-7
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration; compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information; progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled; experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 24 months or 1-year equivalent to the next lower-level specialized experience providing technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled; must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management; experience developing administrative procedures; ability to apply principles, practices, methods, and techniques to provide advice and make recommendations to the MILPO and the Resilience and Risk Reduction Program Coordinator on pertinent issues; knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques to identify, and analyze and develop courses of action and recommendations for resolving problems; ability to operate automated and related equipment as required.
