This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Clinical Standards and Quality, Business Operation Group (BOG).
As a Supervisory Management Analyst, GS-0343-15, you will serve as a full Deputy to the Business Operations Group Director and exercises supervisory authority over the staff in the Director's absence.
Duties
Serves as a program lead and recognized expert on high-visibility projects and/or studies associated with CMS Continuous Improvement Program and the Employees Engagement and Satisfied Workforce initiatives.
Provides technical guidance and advice on the most appropriate method or procedure of analysis and evaluation to accomplish CMS and CCSQ projects and programs.
Evaluates inefficient works processes and develops action plans to resolve. Sets and monitors performance goals.
Provides technical guidance to staff and management on continuous improvement methodologies and processes
In the absence of the Director, the incumbent supervises, directs, and coordinates the work of the supervisors and non-supervisors in the Group that go up to the GS-15 level.

In order to qualify for the GS-15 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: (1) Conducting in-depth analyses of strategic initiatives to identify problem areas, assess impact/risk, and formulate solutions; (2) Providing technical guidance to senior leadership on workforce administration and various support services processes; and (3) Supervising or leading work performed by supervisory and non-supervisory staff.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
