About the Position: This position is a permanent position with U.S. Army Cadet Command, 7th Brigade Headquarters. This position is located at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Duties
Provide staff assistance in logistics and resource management for all ROTC units within the brigade to ensure support across all areas of supply management.
Collect, analyze, and maintain supply management data on ROTC units, reviewing for compliance with Command directives and providing accurate reporting.
Review traveler's itineraries, ensuring the selection of the lowest cost carrier in compliance with applicable Defense Travel System (DTS) travel regulations.
Initiate paperwork for exceptions to the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR), Joint Federal Travel Regulation (JFTR) and Defense Travel System (DTS) regulations ensuring all special requests are properly documented and justified.
Perform detailed analysis of battalion missions, reviewing resource management procedures and ensuring compliance with procurement, Government Purchase Card (GPC), transportation, supply, and maintenance regulations.
Provide guidance and direction to battalions on logistics policies, reviewing authorizations, material availability, to ensure proper resource allocation.
Analyze, develop, and evaluate policies, plans, and procedures for supply management support, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Maintain thorough knowledge of supply regulations and systems to provide accurate guidance during inspections and logistical processes.
Draft comprehensive reports, analyses, and recommendations after inspections, tailored to the comprehension level of supply personnel involved in logistics processes.
Consult with supervisor on various projects, deadlines, and workflow management to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires that the employee occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 30% of the time.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess and maintain a valid state driver's license, and any installation, DOD and/or Federal license or certification required for vehicle operated.
- This position requires a pre-placement medical and annual medical surveillance exam in accordance with Occupational Health requirements.

Specialized Experience: Your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes work such as monitoring supply and logistics programs; confirming travel through an automated travel system; evaluating and managing the organization's vehicle fleet.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
Education

Master's or equivalent graduate degree directly related to the position being filled (Must provide transcripts)

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
