You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Mid-Atlantic(NAVFAC MIDLANT), Norfolk, Va, Operation Officer, PWO/Deputy PW Officer OCEANA NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will create, manage, and execute the installation sustainment budget. You will conduct internal management analysis studies of facility operations in order to make risk-based prioritization of projects in a resource constrained environment. You will document and prioritize facility service requests and requirements to verify facilities are efficiently maintained. You will implement plans to resolve organizational differences involving facility procedures, priorities, space, and equipment requirements. You will interface with project personnel (e.g., customers, facility management, contractors, supporting agencies) to discuss facilities related requirements and projects. You will direct work through junior supervisors to accomplish facilities planning, financial management, requirements, and project execution.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving as an advisor to a Public Works Officer on budget management and facilities matters, recommending strategies to maximize performance within available resources; 2) Evaluating financial, technical and administrative techniques to provide economical facilities management planning; 3) Assigning work to subordinates (in particular, Facility Management Specialists) based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees; 4) Utilizing automated systems and authoritative databases to review facility information and manage facility maintenance and repair plans; and 5) Coordinating maintenance inspection programs and infrastructure condition assessment program(s).
